History

The Network began in 1894 when 37 Free Church Pastors formed a Ministerial Association at a conference in Boone, Iowa.

One historian has argued that “the small group of ministers who formed the association in 1894 really gave birth to the Evangelical Free Church of America” (for this quote from Dr. Roy A. Thompson [1969], see this 2015 ministerial association history).
